June 19-June 22nd-We spent three wonderful days and four
nights at our dear friends the Szymanski’s home in Cour d’Alene, Idaho . Mike and Mary had been our neighbors on
Condor and had been fervent prayer warriors in our journey to have
children. They have a beautiful home and
property in the midst of horse country.
It was a wonderful campsite with the public riding arena behind their
house. Horses were constantly riding up
and down the road too.
We had wonderful meals and fellowship and enjoyed spending
time with Luke. So fun to see how he’s
grown into such an amazing young man.
While Mark spent time on his Michigan
State application, we got to go
boating on Lake Cour d’Alene and swim at the beautiful
rec center. When we took a break from boating by the
restaurant, I noticed this cool log device that they served the onion rings
on. I thought it was so creative that I
asked the manager where they got them.
He told me local person makes them and he gave me one for a
pattern. Mary couldn’t believe that I
walked out the door with one of these gizmos.
She impressed on Janae how special it was that I met people so easily. Janae said it was fun sometimes but other
times extremely mortifying. We also
biked one afternoon along the lake and Mary and I did a great hike. Stefan was thrilled to receive some foreign
bills from Mary. He loved looking
through the stash and picking out a couple.
He was very thoughtful in picking out one that had horses on it for his
sister.

This is a beautiful place. What we enjoyed the most was
spending time with Mike and Mary and learning how God has been working in their
pain and healing. Mark’s village in Nepal graduated
four seniors last year, the first time in 1000 years. Amazing what is happening in this village and
hope we can be a part of what is yet to come. Good friends pick up where you leave off and after eight
years, it was a joy to pick-up again. We
love you guys!!!!
